Enjoy a Farm to Fork Dinner in Garden Party Setting Oct. 14 at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

Benefits Mother’s Grace Charity

PHOENIX — JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is offering a savory Farm to Fork dinner in an outdoor garden party setting at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14, celebrating local farmers and benefitting Mother’s Grace charity for mothers and children who have endured life tragedies.

The Farm to Fork dinner will feature three courses, with each course offering four elaborate dishes paired with Arizona wines for $150 per person, including tax and gratuity.

Local farmers and produce providers Bob McClendon, A Bar H Farm, Crow’s Dairy and Queen Creek Olive Mill will be participating in addition to produce and ingredients from the resort’s own on-site organic garden.

The first course features a bounty of salads including a kale and frisee salad with chopped farm egg, almonds and grapes topped with a parmesan dressing; arugula and red oak lettuce with bacon, charred onions and local apples with cider vinaigrette; and an heirloom tomato Panzella salad with roasted garlic, ciabatta and oregano paired with Page Springs Vino de Barrio Blanco and Arizona Stronghold Tazi.

The main course offerings are comprised of shrimp with pancetta, Indian corn and poblano peppers; grilled rib eye cap with cipollini onions, and chanterelle mushrooms; braised chicken with garlic confit and beet greens; and slow-poached sable fish with artichokes and English peas paired with Arizona Stronghold Nachise and Dos Cabezas La Montana.

Dessert delights will feature caramelized baked apple cheesecake; rustic nectarine and blackberry crostata on a corn meal crust; a chocolate banana tart; and lemon olive oil cake paired with Dos Cabezas Cades dessert wine. Side dishes include pumpkin gnocchi, heirloom carrot risotto and eggplant roll-ups.

The Farm to Fork dinner will be held in the Terra Madre Lawn at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort, located next to the resort’s elaborate organic garden. Seating will resemble a garden party with long wooden tables, lanterns, luminaries and Tivoli lights, and food will be served family style.

Mother’s Grace Foundation is dedicated to the support of local mothers and children who have endured life tragedies.
